Stepping up at a time of need

In a timely response to the adverse conditions created by the tropical storm ‘Roanu’ that struck Sri Lanka on 15 May, CILL extended its assistance in the restoration of education of Sri Seelalankara Vidyalaya, Pahatha Bomiriya, Kaduwela. In consultation with the Disaster Management Centre and the administrative staff of the School, gift packs comprising of school shoes, socks, bags, lunch boxes, water bottles and other items were distributed to the 308 students of Sri Seelalankara Vidyalaya from Grade 1 to 5. The gift packs were well received by the School, students and their parents.
